We
are thrilled that you are considering using Yuri's
Limousine Service for your special occasion.
Perhaps you're getting married soon? Or maybe you just
need simple transportation to or from the airport. We
wish for consumers to be well-educated when making their
considerations. Thus, we have prepared this FAQ guide
to offer some great tips on what you should expect when
using a limousine service.
What
is included with limousine service?
Answer: Beware of unethical companies with
billing methods that tack on extra "junk fees"
such as nonexistent state taxes, beverage charges, and
other miscellaneous charges. Although it is rare to encounter
this, the best policy is to get an "all-inclusive"price
quote from the limousine provider, which should include
the total fare plus gratuity, taxes, tolls, parking and
any other miscellaneous expenses. At Yuri Limousine Service,
it is our policy offer a very competitive fare which we
will disclose upfront and in advance with no hesitation.
Why
can't I rent a limousine for only 1 or 2 hours?
Answer: Occasionally, we receive requests
for a limousine for only 1 or 2 hours. Frankly, this is
just not a practical service for any limousine operator
due to the high "opportunity cost," vehicle
preparation time, and chauffeur's compensation. The industry
standard is to require a minimum 3 or 4 hour booking to
rent a vehicle (except for Standard Pick Up/ Drop Off
Airport Service). A new limousine can cost over $100,000,
thus a 1 or 2 hour rental is simply not cost effective
because the company is only able to bill for one hour
while the time the vehicle is occupied may exceed 3 hours.
Additionally, during the prom & wedding season (March
- June), the minimum hourly booking requirements will
increase due to the monumental demand for limousine service.
How
much does a limousine rental cost?
Answer: Industry wide, limousine rentals
can run in the neighborhood of $50 - $175 per hour with
a minimum booking of two to five hours (the exception
to standard airport service). Standard Airport Service
ranges from $45 - 150 based on vehicle size, party size,
and travel time. Please note that these hourly rates do
not include the industry- standard driver gratuity of
20%.
Do I have to tip the driver, and if so, how much?
Answer: Yes. The industry-standard driver
gratuity is 20% of the total fare. At our Limousine Service,
we will automatically include and itemize this item for
you on your invoice for your convenience. If you feel
that your driver has performed in an exceeding manner
(which ours always do), you are welcome to tip more.
Do
we pay for the time we aren't using the limousine?
Answer: During the time spent when you are
not using the limousine during your rental (i.e. shopping,
dinner, concerts, sporting events, etc.) you are still
required to pay for the rental time, even though you aren't
physically using the vehicle. This is, of course, because
the vehicle cannot be used elsewhere even though you are
not using the vehicle. This is the industry standard,
even when there are several hours in between drop-off
and pickup times
